SNOW
Skiing is always something that I’ve held close to my heart. It wasnt until my first year of college that I realized that it is also a hobby which can take me deep into the mountains I love in the months that they are less accessible. Backcountry skiing in Colorado has made exploring the beauty of winter in the Rockies more efficient, and far more fun, than it is on foot. Travelling through the snow-capped peaks always seems to bring about the most high value adventures. . The terrain is alive, the snow conditions are always changing, and consistent and thorough research and decision making are of the utmost importance. There are enough steep and enticing ski lines in the Colorado backcountry to last ten lifetimes, but I’m always just happy to make some turns. Skiing is something I photograph less than other activities (mainly due to how much it distracts me), but I never seem to regret breaking my camera out every once in a while.
