Growing up in Kansas, finding the beauty in the natural world around me required some creativity. Whether it be wandering hours throughout the night to find the stars, wading through mosquito infested bogs, or crawling through storm drains near my house, I always seemed to find something that interested me. It was through all of these little adventures that I think I developed the way in which I wanted to showcase the beauty of the world. While my environment changed to something more opportunistic as I moved to Colorado for school, I will always strive to showcase that feeling of wonder in my photos.

The feeling that we are nothing but kids experiencing the next turn around the corner.
