There is no such thing as conquering a mountain, but they will forever be my favorite place to challenge myself. There’s something comforting in their indifference. These peaks don’t care what you do or why you are doing it. The only thing that matters is putting one foot in front of another and one hand higher on another crumbling piece of stone. You are at the mercy of only the elements and your ability to push through. Whether it be summiting the mountain you came for or turning back because its the safest choice , there is never a bad day in the mountains. Every trip up high is a lesson in trust and humility. Its a privilege that I will never take for granted to watch the world from a place that I’m not designed to be, even if only for a few moments
